Improve your golf game
So you want to improve your golf game this winter and spring?
Here is the Explanar step by step guide to improve your golf game.

But first,
A.You need a goal
Do you want to reduce your handicap, reduce your average score per round, hit more greens in regulation or reduce the number of putts or up and downs you get?If you are just going to turn up every Saturday morning and hope for the best, then you are not going to improve your golf game.
Here is an example of how a 4 (3.5) handicap golfer would improve their golf game.
The objective is to get to a 2 (2.0) handicap. That doesn’t seem a huge improvement but this game improvement is equivalent to a 24 handicapper lowering their handicap to around 12.
B. Your previous form
Look at your average score per round, your average number of greens hit, your average number of putts and the average number of times you get up in down in 2 from 100 yards.Having analysed his previous form, this 4 handicapper is hitting an average of 9 greens in regulation per round, getting up in down from 100 yards 25% of the time and only making an average of 34 putts per round.
C. An actionable plan to improve their golf game
This 4 handicapper has to turn his average score of 78 into an average score of 74. That’s a 4 shot reduction. That could mean 4 more greens in regulation or mean reduce the average number of putts from 34 to 30. To hit more greens in regulation is going to require an improvement in accuracy and consistency. To reduce the number of putts is going to require the shorter iron shots to get closer to the hole; shorter putts are easier to hole than longer ones.
